Why are we losing jobs?

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

In 2001, Oklahoma became a right-to-work state. Since that time, we’ve experienced a few raw moments we may not want to remember in Oklahoma’s history:

· 2003 — Lucent Technologies closes; 450 Oklahoma jobs lost

· 2006 — GE closes; 2,400 Oklahoma jobs lost

· 2006 — Bridgestone/Firestone closes; 1,600 Oklahoma jobs lost

· 2006 — AOL cut 900 Oklahoma employees

· 2013 — Chesapeake cut 1,200 Oklahoma employees

· 2013 — Adfitech Mortgage Services will lay off 320 Oklahoma employees in December; happy holidays.

Oklahoma sure is lucky to be a right-to-work state, led by a Republican governor.

Remember the Oklahoma workers.
