NORMAN — The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office and Sooner Mall are teaming up for “Treats but No Tricks” for Halloween.
The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sooner Mall, 3301 W. Main Street. Deputies and merchants will hand out treats to children during the course of the evening.
More than 60 businesses will be giving candy to kids. Children age 11 and under are also encouraged to enter the mall’s costume contest.
The competition will begin at 6:30 p.m. Deputies will judge costumes. Gift cards and prizes will be warded to first, second, and third place winners.
Sheriff Joe Lester said “Treats but No Tricks” offers families a safe and fun venue to spend Halloween with the kids.
“Parents are invited to bring their kids and experience all fun that Halloween has to offer indoors,” Lester said.
