Norman Chamber to host two events Wednesday

NORMAN — If you live in Norman but work in Oklahoma City, the Norman Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend the next 35 South Luncheon at noon Wednesday at the Bricktown Brewery, 1 N. Oklahoma Ave.

Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. Keynote speakers include Shawn O’Leary, director of Public Works for the City of Norman and Eric Fleske, partner at Equity Realty. They will discuss updates on new retail and business announcements coming to Norman as well as updated transportation, road plans and schedules for the community.

Presenting sponsor for the event is Fowler Volkswagen of Norman and the lunch sponsor for the event is Citywide Mortgage. There will be door prizes. RSVP to angie@normanchamber.com and invite a friend.  

The Norman Chamber Business Development Committee will sponsor a Lunch and Learn event 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Chamber offices. The topic is “Lean concepts and an introduction to Six Sigma theory.” The Lunch and Learn will teach you an overview of lean concepts and an introduction to Six Sigma theory. These principles can help you recognize ways to continuously improve and streamline the processes of your business through the identification and reduction of waste, which can lead to improved decision making. Adopting these principles can help save money, time and resources for your organization.

Presenting sponsor for the event is Hallbrooke Development Group. Panel speakers include Bert Franks, Quality Management Systems coordinator, Moore Norman Technology Center and Marc Jensen, program coordinator for the University of Oklahoma Lean Institute.
