NOBLE — Police here took precautionary measures early Thursday while students were dropped off at school, said Keith Springstead, Noble police chief.
After receiving indirect third party information, the Noble Police Department, along with Noble campus police, performed bag checks while students entered Curtis Inge Middle School, 1201 N. 8th St.
“We decided to be on the safe side and to show parents that we take this kind of thing serious and that we’ll do whatever it takes to keep our kids safe,” Springstead said.
Springstead reported that all bags checked out without incident and that the police department had no problems conducting the safety procedure.
