Dentistry students seek exam patients , Genealogical Society hosts events

NORMAN — Dentistry students seek exam patients

The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry is seeking adult patients to participate in graduating dental students’ board exams April 26-28, at the OU College of Dentistry, 1201 N. Stonewall Ave.

Graduating dental students at the OU College of Dentistry will provide thorough cleanings and new fillings at no cost to participants. Screening appointments are required to determine qualified patients. Patients must be 18 or older.

Genealogical

society hosts events

The Cleveland County Genealogical Society Family History Writers Group will meet 10 a.m. March 12 at the CCGS Library, 1119 E. Main St. Participants can hear write stories handed down in their family.

On March 18, CCGS’ monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the south lobby adjacent to the Genealogical Library. Early Cleveland County will be the topic of speakers Suzanne Schrems and Vernon Maddox. 

March 19, the CCGS Research Interest Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Genealogical Library. Group members will share research techniques and recent discoveries.

April 6 , there will be a workshop at the Genealogical Library presented by Billie Stone Fogarty on “What Do I Do with All This Stuff? Organizing Your Genealogy.”

The workshop will be 1 to 4 p.m. at the CCGS Library. Registration is $25 if postmarked by March 24 and $30 if postmarked after March 24.
