NORMAN — Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett was re-elected to an unprecedented fourth term Tuesday. Cornett had 65.7 percent (31,495) of the votes, compared to just 32.8 percent (15,739) for challenger Ed Shadid, council member for Oklahoma City’s second ward.
Shadid gave his concession speech after more than 60 percent of the precincts had reported with Cornett receiving 64 percent of the votes at that time.
