NORMAN — On Jan. 30, the Moore Norman Technology Center will host a free workshop designed to help business owners make informed decisions related to Oklahoma’s Open Carry law.
“Guns in the Workplace: Do’s, Don’ts and Decisions” will be from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at MNTC’s South Penn Campus, 13301 S. Penn in south Oklahoma City. The workshop is free and open to the public, but guests are asked to register in advance by calling 364-5763, ext. 7260.
Attorneys as well as representatives from law enforcement and human resources will lead discussion on a variety of topics.
The session will cover the issue of training employees and having a company policy in place concerning weapons on site. The workshop will conclude with a question-and-answer session. A continental breakfast will be provided.
“Guns in the Workplace: Do’s, Don’ts and Decisions” is the final workshop in MNTC’s 2013 Business Excellence Workshop Series.
