NORMAN — Police search for nude male after several reports

There were several reports of a naked male Wednesday afternoon near Woods Avenue and West Robinson Street before the man was spotted by police and hid.

Norman Police Capt. Tom Easley said there were two reports of the man near Woods Avenue, walking westbound on Robinson Street around 2:25 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

When a third report came in, Easley said police finally got a visual on the man, but he ran and hid in the Westwood Apartments complex, 1836 W. Robinson St.

There was no report of the man being apprehended as of early Wednesday evening.

Woman charged with embezzlement of $40K

A woman who was employed as a bookkeeper for Endex of Oklahoma was charged Wednesday in Cleveland County District Court for allegedly embezzling more than $40,000.

Stephanie Michele Warren, 39, took checks from customers that were intended as payment to Endex and would cash them for her personal financial gain, according to the affidavit filed with the charge.

Warren cashed the checks through her personal bank account. Endex of Oklahoma sells commercial, educational or medical security and announcement systems.

Warren has been previously convicted of or pled guilty to two counts of embezzlement in Oklahoma County in 2011, according to court records.

In addition, Warren also is facing three counts of obtaining money under false pretenses and three counts of possession of a taken credit card. The charges were filed in October in Oklahoma County.

Warren is also known as Stephanie Michelle Smith and Stephanie M. Farr.

Newalla man charged for stolen copper

After Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office deputies found stolen copper at a Newalla man’s home Tuesday, he was charged Wednesday in Cleveland County District Court.

Randy R. Prough, 52, was charged with one count of possession of stolen copper. Deputies were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to 17060 Becker Road in Newalla in reference to a man pulling wires near a meter, according to the affidavit filed with the charge.
