Library announces events

NORMAN — The Noble Public Library, 204 N. 5th St., has announced events for March.

Adults are invited to share their favorite reads at Adult Night Out: Groundbreaking Reads is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Featured will be excerpts from various new books and a chance to converse with book lovers. Desserts will be served and registration is required.

Preschoolers aged 2 to 5 are invited to Tadpole Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. most Tuesdays. Make and Take crafts will be on Tuesday. Success by 6 featuring Christy Emig with songs, stories and finger plays is slated for March 18 and Magic of Music will be March 25. Registration is not required.

School aged children will take a look at Comic Book Creation during Maker Mondays, set for 3:30 p.m. each Monday this month. Each month, the group explores a different theme or skill. Registration is not required.

Computer classes for adults will be offered at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays. Topics include Microsoft Word Basics on Wednesday, Excel Basics on March 19 and Photo Sharing on March 26. Registration is required.

Homework Helpers, a free tutoring program for students in first through 12th grades will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in March. Students interested in receiving help are asked to bring their work with them. Registration is not required.
