Jones, Jungman to appear at Cornbread and Beans

NORMAN — Rhett Jones and Greg Jungman, candidates for the Norman City Council, Ward 4, will appear at the Tyner Cornbread and Beans luncheon on Friday.

Jungman is the director of Affordable Housing for the state of Oklahoma, a position with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. He holds a master of public administration from the University of Oklahoma where he focused on municipal government and urban growth issues. He has served the city of Norman on many committees over the last 10 years. He is seeking his second term as council person for Ward 4.

Jones is a corporate accountant working in downtown Norman. He has directly invested in this area through his entrepreneurial pursuits including a film production company, a music booking agency and a music/art co-op. He serves on the board of the Norman Music Festival. He is a fifth generation of Norman, father of an honor student and a resident in the downtown Norman arts district.

The event will be held at Catering Creations, 3750 W. Main St. Lunch begins at 11:15 a.m. with the speakers beginning about noon. Attendees will dine from Catering Creations full course buffet.

The meeting is open to the public.
