Two injured in Monday wreck

NORMAN — One person was reported as trapped in a vehicle around 9:30 p.m. Monday in Slaughterville after a multiple-vehicle wreck.

Emergency crews responded to the incident on Maguire Road near Woods Acres, just east of 132nd Street. When dispatch advised, there were multiple injuries due to the wreck.

One female in her 20s was reported to have an arm injury. The person trapped, a man in his 40s, was reported to have a head injury. Extracation of the man was canceled by Noble EMS about 15 minutes after the initial call.

Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Meghan McCormick said none of the injuries sustained during the wreck were life threatening, but two people were transported to the hospital by an ambulance.

Maguire Road was blocked off for a short time Monday night while emergency crews worked the scene.
