Okla. Democratic Part Chair Wallace Collins to speak

NORMAN — Oklahoma Democratic Party Chair Wallace Collins will be the speaker at the Cleveland County Democratic Party’s Tyner Cornbread and Beans luncheon on Friday, April 11, 2014.

He will discuss the prospects for the Oklahoma’s Democratic Party for this election year. Chairman Collins and his family have lived in Norman all his life.

He has served four terms in the Oklahoma Legislature from House District 45 and is the former chair of the Cleveland County Democratic Party.

He is a long-time member of the Machinist Union.

He is the first Chair of the state Democratic Party to be elected for a second term in many years. The event will be held at Catering Creations, 3750 W. Main.

The luncheon is sponsored by the Cleveland County Democratic Party and begins at 11:15 a.m. with the speaker beginning about noon.

Guests will select lunch from Catering Creations’ full course buffet. The meeting is open to the public.
