NORMAN — Jill Dudley, president of the Moore Association of Classroom Teachers, will be the featured speaker Friday at the Tyner Cornbread and Beans Luncheon at Catering Creations, 3750 W. Main St.
She will speak about the Educators for Obama movement.
The luncheon is sponsored by the Cleveland County Democratic Party. Lunch will begin at 11:15 a.m., with the speaker beginning about noon. Guests will select lunch from the mini-buffet. The meeting is open to the public.
Dudley is in her third term as the local president and has served on the Oklahoma Education Association Board of Directors. She is currently serving as secretary of the OEA Fund for Children and Public Education, the Political Action Committee for the OEA. She has been elected 18 consecutive years as a delegate to the National Education Association Representative Assembly.
Dudley was raised in Norman and received her Bachelor of Science in mathematics education from the University of Oklahoma. She is a mathematics teacher at Westmoore High School and is serving her 20th year in the Moore Public Schools.
She resides in McClain County and serves as the vice chair of the McClain County Democratic Party.
