NORMAN — The Noble Public Library and the Healthy Noble Partnership will host Dig into Summer from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 29. The event will kick off with a one-mile fitness walk from the library to and from Farmer’s Market near city hall.
Master Gardeners from the OSU Extension Service will provide gardening information. Tips on planting flowers and herbs will be available, as well as fresh vegetables to take home from the market. A plant exchange also will be offered.
Participants are invited to help beautify the Noble library grounds by assisting in planting a variety of items in the beds surrounding the building. Canning information and crafts will be provided at the Noble Public Library.
Story time is scheduled for 11 a.m., sponsored by the Noble library, Success by Six, a United Way of Norman program, will provide free books.
Another wellness activity will be free blood pressure checks. Also, the Cleveland county Health Department, Tobacco Free Cleveland County and Cleveland County Fitness and Nutrition Coalition will present a create-your-own trail mix activity.
