NORMAN — The Sooner Theatre is accepting enrollment for fall classes and youth-only productions beginning Aug. 6 for current students and Aug. 7 for new students.

Parents can enroll their students in person at The Studio of the Sooner Theatre, 227 E. Main St., from 2 to 7 p.m. both days.

Parents unable to make the enrollment event can call the theater at 321-9600 or stop by the theater during business hours to enroll students.

Classes in musical theater, theater dance (technique, tap and hip hop), full-scale musical productions, acting, improv, voice and more are available.

Classes are available for students ages 3 through entering 12th grade and are in session September through April, with a two-show Sooner Theatre Showcase, which will be May 3, 2014.

The Sooner Theatre is one of six new Allied Arts Member agencies.

The Sooner Theatre’s Theatre Education Activities program is funded in part by the Oklahoma Arts Council, Norman Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts and The Studio Series sponsor, Republic Bank and Trust.

The Sooner Theatre is Norman’s premiere performing arts venue and performing arts academy.
