NORMAN — Teton Lane closed

Continuing through Wednesday at 9 p.m., the 3400 to 3500 block of Teton Lane in Cascade Estates Addition will be closed. OneOK will be completing the paving repair over their pipeline inspection. Traffic control will be provided to protect the public.

Legacy extension

Beginning Monday A-Tech Paving will begin the Legacy Trail South Extension Construction Project. This will include the replacement of the old sidewalks along the south side of Duffy Street from Jenkins to Asp and those along the east side of Asp Avenue from Duffy to Campus Corner with a 10 foot wide multi-modal trail as an extension of the Legacy Trail walking and biking path.

The first phase of the project will require a temporary lane closure of the outside west-bound lane of Boyd Street between Monet Street and Debar Avenue. Signs and cones will be placed to re-direct traffic into the inside west-bound lane of Boyd beginning Monday.

Weather permitting, the lane will be closed through the end of June.  All other sidewalk closings will last for the duration of the project.

Also, as part of this project, the sidewalks on the east side of Jenkins Avenue between Duffy Street and Boyd Street will be replaced with new sidewalks of the same width as those already in the area. All driveways and street curb and gutter will be re-built along these routes, which will require intermittent traffic disruption in the project area.

Sidewalk closings will be posted along the route for the duration of the project, which is expected to take 60 days. Flagmen will be present during those times when construction vehicles are present on the job and need to occupy a traffic lane for short periods of time each day.
