NORMAN — Letter carriers in Norman and other communities can participate in a food drive for the needy on Saturday.
Saturday, letter carriers in 128 cities in central and western Oklahoma will Stamp Out Hunger by collecting canned food donations from households on their routes.
In Norman, donations benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s partner agencies The Salvation Army of Norman, Alameda Church of Christ, CrossPointe Church, Mission Norman, Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency, the Spero House, ACTION and Advantage Church. This is through the Feeding Hope and Letter Carriers’ Food Drive, which is presented by Devon Energy Corporation.
To help Stamp Out Hunger in Norman, fill the plastic donation bag you receive in your mailbox this week, or any plastic bag, with canned food donations and place it by your mailbox Saturday before your letter carrier arrives.
