NORMAN — First State Bank hosts dinner for Thanksgiving

The fifth annual First State Bank community-wide Thanksgiving Dinner will be served from 1 a.m. until l1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day in the Noble Public Library Community Room. The facility will be converted into a large dining hall, complete with tantalizing aromas of a freshly prepared Thanksgiving feast provided and served by First State Bank employees, officers, families and friends. Guests will enjoy, on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, a free, traditional holiday dinner while turkeys and accompanying dishes last. Reservations are not necessary. Take out meals are not available.

Delta Dental awards scholarships

The Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation announced the 12 recipients of the 2012 University of Oklahoma - College of Dentistry Scholarship Fund. The Foundation’s annual scholarship fund was established in 2001 to encourage future enrollment in the OU College of Dentistry, and, to help address a projected shortage of dentists in Oklahoma over the next 15 years.  Oklahoma currently has an estimated 41 dentists per 100,000 people - the national average is 58 per 100,000.
