NORMAN — Two more candidates filed for local school board seats Tuesday. Today is the final day of filings.
Tonya Adams, 501 SE 7th in Lexington filed for Lexington Office No. 3.
Cherish R. Smith, 6200 E. Tecumseh Road, filed for the Robin Hill School district Office No. 3.
On Monday, Cindy K. Nashert, 1101 Rockland Ridge, filed for the Office No. 3 post on Norman schools. She is seeking the post being vacated by Darry Stacy, the District 2 County Commissioner-elect.
Andy Sherrer, 120 Merkle Drive in Norman, filed for the Office No. 3 post on the career tech board. Member Doris Wedge has chosen not to seek re-election.
Ron Palmer, 1200 Donray Circle, filed for the Office No. 3 for Little Axe Schools. Tony S. Gibson, 6851 132nd Street SE, filed for the Noble Office No. 3.
The filing period for several Board of Education offices opened Monday and will continue through today during normal office hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days.
Candidates can file at the Cleveland County Election Board Office, 641 E. Robinson St., Suite 200, in Norman. More information is available by calling 366-0210.
