NORMAN — Allie Berry, of Norman High School, and Callie Cabbiness, of Norman North, have been selected as December’s students of the month by the Norman Rotary Club.
During this month, both seniors are attending the club’s weekly luncheons at First Christian Church.
Berry, the daughter of Stan and Cheryl Berry, has a 4.0 grade point average. She is involved with Student Congress, Global Awareness Club, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Teen Advisors of Norman and Rotary Interact Club.
Berry has played basketball and soccer and was Tigerpalooza Queen. She has been honored as the Student of Today by the Masonic Lodge, College Board, AP Scholar with Honor and is on the honor roll.
She has been involved with Teen Advisors of Norman and McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church. Berry is considering attending the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Pepperdine University or Vanderbilt University.
Cabbiness, the daughter of Taylor and Steve McDaniel, has a 3.9 GPA. She is involved in choir, student council, Teen Volunteers of Norman, Key Club, Rotary Interact Club and the National Honor Society.
She has been honored as a homecoming nominee, by the National Honor Society, serves as Assisteens president and was a finalist for Sophomore of the Year. Cabbiness is involved in mentoring programs at Journey Church.
She is considering attending OU, Oklahoma State University, the University of Central Oklahoma or Oklahoma City University.
