Deputies investigate stabbing

NORMAN — Cleveland County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a stabbing that sent two men to the hospital Tuesday night.

The incident happened about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Bridger Trail in Newalla.

Two brothers identified as Pete Cossey, 50, and Abe Cossey, 47, were arguing outside a home when the verbal altercation turned physical.

Both brothers stabbed each other multiple times with large knives.

After the stabbing, one of the brothers went inside the home, retrieved a shotgun and fired a couple rounds. No one received gunshot wounds.

Both men were transported to Norman Regional Hospital for their injuries. Investigators have determined alcohol was involved in the incident.
