NORMAN — Norman youth and adults are invited to enter the sixth annual International Photography Contest sponsored by Norman’s Sister City and international relations organization, PASSPORTS.

Photos for the Student and Adult Contest “My Hometown-Norman” should depict sights and scenes of Norman that best show the city, people and culture that Norman can share with its Sister Cities in other countries. The International Scenes Contest is open to all ages and requires that photos were taken outside the United States.

An opening reception for entering photographers will be hosted 5:30 p.m. Friday at Astronomics, 110 E. Main St. Photograph entries should be submitted between 4 and 6 p.m. Wednesday. The photography exhibit will be displayed to the public from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. as part of Norman’s Art Walk event.

All photos should be no smaller than 8” x 10” and no larger than 9” x 12” and must be mounted on vertical (portrait orientation) black foam or mat board 15” x 20” or 16” x 20”. Black foam matting boards will be available at the registration tables Wednesday if needed.

Anyone may enter Hometown Norman or International Scenes photos, meeting the criteria.

“We are looking for images of Norman that best represent our community, its events and everyday life. We will share the Norman scenes with the citizens of our Sister Cities and international travelers who want to learn more about Norman,” said Marles Bradley, president of the PASSPORTS organization.

“The International Travel Photo contest will spotlight those wonderful shots that Norman citizens have captured while experiencing scenes and cultures around the world. It is amazing how many individuals from Norman tour for business, leisure and service all around the world.”
