NORMAN — Rodney’s Pizza Place in Purcell and the Hampton Noble Masonic Lodge No. 291 are teaming up to help a boy with cancer from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday at Rodney’s Pizza Place, 1627 N. Green Ave.

Xander Moore, an 11-year old boy from Lexington, has been battling neuroblastoma cancer since the age of 2.

Members of the Masonic lodge will work the event to receive matching funds through the Masonic Charity Foundation to benefit Moore.

“This boy’s had cancer since he was 2 and he’s been battling it for 10 years. We just want to do whatever we can to help the family with 10 years of medical bills,” said Kevin Huddleston, Masonic lodge junior deacon.

Fifty percent of the proceeds from all dine-in or carry-out orders will be donated to the Moore family. Members of the community are invited to attend and to wear Xander T-shirts if they have them. Mention Xander’s name when ordering.
