NORMAN — A Norman man was reported as doing well Saturday after being injured in a wreck Thursday night in Alfalfa County.
OU Medical Center officials said Tanner Garrett Bruehl, 26, was in stable condition Saturday. Bruehl was transported by Alfalfa County EMS to St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, then transferred by LIFE EMS to the OU Medical Center, where he was admitted with internal trunk and head injuries that night.
According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol accident report, the wreck occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday on Greer Road at County Road 590.
Bruehl was traveling eastbound on Greer Road when his truck left the roadway and collided with a guardrail on the left. His vehicle slid for nearly 200 feet and partially rolled before it struck a tree and came to a rest on its top, the report said.
Bruehl was pinned in the vehicle for about 40 minutes and was wearing his seatbelt during the wreck. He was the only person involved in the wreck.
