NORMAN — The Norman Board of Education is set to meet 5 p.m. Monday in City Council Chambers, 201 W. Gray St., with revisions of policy language and important memorandums of understanding on the agenda.
The board will vote to revise a policy on fiscal management, covering purchasing procedures — a routine response to changes in state legislation, said Shelly Hickman, Norman Public Schools community relations director.
“In the event of a state law or state legislation, the board changes policy language to align with that used in the state regulation,” Hickman said.
If approved, a memorandum of understanding between the district and the University of Oklahoma will sanction district participation in a research program initiated by OU and supported by the Sonic Foundation.
Other memorandums to be voted on include:
· Memorandum of Agreement with the County Sheriff of Cleveland County to provide adult education, General Equivalency Diploma services to qualified students
· Memorandum of Agreement with Variety Care Inc. to establish a health and wellness clinic/services located at Longfellow Middle School
