NORMAN — Speeding Bullet Comics, 614 N. Porter Avenue, will be hosting comic book and television writer Patrick Rieger from 2 to 4 p.m. today.
Rieger, a Norman High and SMU graduate, will be signing copies of his new graphic novel "How I Spent My Summer Invasion." He will also be answering questions about writing from his experiences in Los Angeles. Rieger currently works as a writer for the upcoming reboot of the classic "Thunderbirds" television series.
"How I Spent My Summer Invasion" contains the first 5 issues of the series. The story follows three best friends who work as bellhops in a hotel for aliens. The book has been described as a blend of "Men in Black" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and is suitable for readers of all ages. The comic is written by Rieger and illustrated by Mark Sean Wilson.
