MOORE — Moore residents had a little more sense of things getting back to normal Friday when the post office at 601 S. Service Road reopened its doors. The post office was drastically impacted by the May 20 tornado.

The announcement was made last week when customers were told that both P.O. box delivery and retail services had resumed at the Moore Post Office.

According to the post office, P.O. box customers must check their temporary box for an envelope containing keys for their new box and additional instructions for disposition of temporary keys.

Hours of operation for the postal site are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Displaced residential delivery customers will continue to receive mail at the temporary site at 1600 S. Broadway Ave. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. There will be no access on Sunday.

For customers in the 73160 zip code who received a peach-colored PS Form 3849 “Sorry We Missed You,” look on the back of the form for the location of where the notice item is being held.

Customers impacted by the tornado who received mail in the 73170 zip code will continue to receive mail at the temporary modular unit at the Santa Fe Station, 201 SW 134th St. in Oklahoma City.

Hours of operation for accessing mail are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. No access on Sunday is available.

Zip code 73170 customers who receive a peach-colored PS Form 3849 “Sorry We Missed You” will continue to pick their items up at the Santa Fe station.

Retail window services are no longer available at the temporary modular unit at the Santa Fe station. However, the self-service kiosk will remain at Santa Fe station and is a public access, self-service terminal that provides general mailing services to postal customers 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
