NORMAN — Megan Benn will present “A Review of the State Questions on the Nov. 6 Ballot” at Friday’s Tyner Cornbread and Beans Luncheon.
The luncheon will be at Catering Creations, 3750 W. Main St., and is sponsored by the Cleveland County Democratic Party.
Lunch begins at 11:15 a.m., with the speaker beginning about noon. Guests can select lunch from Catering Creations’ mini-buffet. The meeting is open to the public.
Benn is a member the Oklahoma Policy Institute team and serves as an outreach coordinator to bring organizations together to promote sound budget and tax policies to the state.
She has more than 17 years of public policy experience at the state and federal levels. She has researched and promoted policies related to economic development, education and state budget and tax structures.
Her work experience includes stints at the White House, the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology and the Oklahoma State Senate Research and Policy Division and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. She currently runs a public affairs consulting and lobbying firm.
Benn has a degree in political science from Texas Christian University.
