Crosstown Clash, Taste of Norman tickets available

NORMAN — Norman Public Schools will begin selling tickets Sept. 3 for the Sept. 5 Crosstown Clash in varsity football and for Taste of Norman.

The annual gridiron Crosstown Clash includes Norman High’s and Norman North’s teams squaring off at the University of Oklahoma’s Memorial Stadium and Taste of Norman being hosted in the adjacent Mosier Practice Facility.

Taste of Norman occurs prior to the football game and involves numerous area restaurants giving samples of their most popular foods to participants, while student musicians from NHS and NNHS provide entertainment. The event is a fundraiser for both schools’ band programs and tickets are $15. Children 5 and under eat free.

While the district will not be selling Taste of Norman tickets until Sept. 3, tickets can be purchased now through individual members and boosters of the NHS and NNHS band programs.

Taste of Norman will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. and the Crosstown Clash kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets to both events are sold separately.

The cost of an adult Crosstown Clash ticket is $7 and the cost of a student ticket is $5. Both adults and students are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long lines at Memorial Stadium. Tickets can be purchased at the district office, 131 S. Flood Ave., as well as purchased at both high schools.

The hours for the district’s Crosstown Clash and Taste of Norman ticket sales will be:

· Sept. 3: 7:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

· Sept. 4: 7:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

· Sept. 5: 7:45 a.m. to 4:14 p.m.
