Noble library resumes after-school programs for children

NORMAN — The Noble Public Library, 204 N. 5th St., resumes after school programming in September with ways for children to explore art, receive free help with homework and participate in the new Teen Film Club. Many programs are available for adults, too, including PC and Internet basics and zumba. Registration is required for some activities.

Preschoolers are invited to story time on Sept. 3, Make-n-Take Sept. 10, Success by 6 Story time on Sept 17 and the Magic of Music on Sept. 24. All preschool events begin at 10:30 a.m.

School-aged children are invited to explore various areas of art with local artist Janey Crain during Noble Maker Monday’s Art. Crain will kick things off with oil pastels. The art group will meet Sept. 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 3 p.m. Registration is required. Homework Helpers, a free program for children, will be offered at 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday in September. Noble Family Story Time will be held Sept. 7 at 10:30 a.m.

Teens are invited to register for the Noble Teen Film Club slated for 4:30 p.m. each Wednesday and to participate in the Noble Teen Author Trio Talk at 6 p.m. on Sept. 27.

Adults may register for zumba, set for 6:15 p.m. on Thursdays. PC Basics will be offered at 10 a.m. Sept 11 and Internet Basics will be offered Sept. 25. Registration is required for computer classes.

On Sept. 10 Ground Breaking Reads will be offered at 6:30 p.m. and a Reader’s Book Discussion Group will meet at 1 p.m. Sept. 12. The Studio 204: Knit Night group will meet 6 p.m. Sept. 30 and Business 4 Breakfast is set for 8:15 a.m. Sept. 24.

There will be an all-day community Butterfly Festival and BEAR event on Sept. 28 and a hunter safety class is set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 29. Registration is required for hunter safety.
