PETCO customers 'round up' to save lives
Visitors to PETCO stores across the country can help save pets' lives by rounding up their purchases as part of the PETCO Foundation's annual campaign to support spay and neuter procedures and help decrease the number of animals euthanized due to overpopulation.
The Round Up/Spay Today campaign helps fund thousands of spay/neuter surgeries each year. This year's fundraiser kicks off today with more than 900 PETCO stores nationwide collecting funds on behalf of local organizations that offer low cost spay and neuter assistance in their communities. The three-week campaign ends Aug. 10.
Ten percent of the funds raised will be donated to Spay USA, the largest spay/neuter referral service in the world with more than 1,000 sterilization programs and clinics and more than 7,000 veterinarians nationwide.
