The annual Police/Fire Chili Supper, benefiting the Cleveland County Christmas Store, will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Norman High School Commons area. Organizers recommend parking in the east parking lot at NHA. Carry out will be available, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are available from the Norman Police and Fire Departments, the University of Oklahoma Police Department and the Norman Public Schools Campus Police for $5. All of the money will benefit the Cleveland County Christmas Store because organizers are able to get the supplies and ingredients donated.
"Last year, we were able to donate over $6,900 to the Christmas Store. We would like to exceed that amount this year. There are many people who would not have an opportunity to exchange Christmas gifts with their loved ones without the Christmas Store. We need to continue to support them," said a press release issued by Norman Police Officer Jennifer Newell.
To make a donation or for further information, call Newell at 366-5267.
