The city's return, based on October business, was $4,545,252 compared to $3,620,418. The city's return, based on October business, was $4,545,252 compared to $3,620,418. The tax rate for this year was 3.5 percent compared to 3 percent for the same month in 2007. Statewide, the December distribution of $116,370,277 was returned to 505 cities and towns and is an increase of $11,030,414 over the previous year. Seventy-four counties shared $24,714,963. Moore's 3.5 percent return for October 2008 was $1,802,500, compared to $1,648,496 for the October retail sales in 2007. Other area cities and their October 2008 and October 2007 receipts in parentheses are: · Noble, $131,688 ($94,004). · Purcell, $304,586 ($301,637) · Blanchard, $143,091 ($125,475). · Lexington, $22,724 ($20,119). · Slaughterville, $8,039 ($9,138). · Newcastle, $356,827 ($402,360).
