NEWALLA -- A shed and a recreational vehicle caught fire Friday morning, killing four dogs and causing an estimated $6,000 in damage.
The fire began at the shed in which someone was living at 114 Cleta Road in Newalla and then it spread to the RV, said Norman Deputy Fire Chief Jim Bailey.
The fire was reported at 9:56 a.m. Four Norman Fire Department units, two Little Axe units, the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department and EMSstat responded to the call, he said.
Officials were on the scene for two and one half hours, he said.
There were no human injuries, but four dogs died as a result of the fire, Bailey said.
The fire is under investigation by the sheriff's department, he said.
