One of the men responsible for getting the intelligence that led to the capture of Saddam Hussein will speak at the University of Oklahoma Thursday.
Staff Sergeant Eric Maddox, author of "Mission: Blacklist 1," will be at the panel "Intelligence and Torture" 4:30 p.m. in the Gaylord College of Journalism Library.
Maddox, an OU alumnus, will discuss his key role in the capture of Hussein and the controvery between violent and non-violent interrogation methods. He is one of the soldiers who masterminded the capture of Hussein by collecting intelligence using non-violent interrogation methods. His information pin-pointed the exact location of Hussein.
Other panelists are Dr. David Edger and Dr. Christopher Howard. Moderator is Dr. John Fishel.
The event is presented by the Center for Middle East Studies and International Programs and is free and open to the public.
