For the Transcript

The Tri-City Cruisers car club will host its 10th annual spring car show April 12.

In the event of rain, the show will be April 19. The show will be at the west end of the Braum's parking lot in Tri-City, on the south side of Highway 37 under the Tri-City and Braum's signs.

Event registration begins 8 a.m. and closes at noon. Trophy presentation will be 2 p.m.

All entries will receive participation plaques with a picture of the vehicle they entered. Trophies will be awarded to the top 10 cars as selected by participants.

Classic music will be provided. Door prizes will be assigned via random drawing.

The public also is invited to join the club. The club requires members have an interest in old cars, as the club is dedicated to keeping this part of America's heritage alive.

Business meetings are 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month at the First National Bank conference room in Newcastle, 1308 N. Main St. The club participates in various car shows and events throughout the year, has a monthly cruise night to local restaurants and generally promotes restoration and preservation of classic automobiles.

For another year, the club will sponsor six cruises the first Saturday night of each month at the Main Street Sonic Drive-In in Newcastle. The first one is 6 p.m. May 3.

For an entry form or more information, send mail to P.O. Box 113, Newcastle, 73065, e-mail bnhag@pldi.net or call Bob Hagan at 410-9190.
