‘Dr. D’ to demonstrate online danger

Dr. Peter DeBenedittis will address “Problems Kids Face Online” from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the Sarkeys Foundation Conference Center, 530 E. Main St.
As an expert in media literacy, Dr. D uses a multi-media approach to show how a landscape of risk is being created online that puts children in jeopardy. Dr. D. will reveal current threats to kids’ online safety, including bullying and predators, and will demonstrate vital solutions to protect kids, and provide tools to take action.
This is the second session in the 2008 Sarkeys Spring Speakers Series.
“The goal of these programs is to bring additional expertise to the world of nonprofit management,” said Cheri Cartwright, executive director of Sarkeys Foundation.
