The University of Oklahoma Graduate Business Association has stepped in to attempt to fill the gap with a charity sale of business attire April 22. Students collect clothes to help professionals 'Suit Up' By Julianna Parker Jones With the number of unemployed looking for jobs increasing so does the number of people who need professional clothes for interviews.
The University of Oklahoma Graduate Business Association has stepped in to attempt to fill the gap with a charity sale of business attire April 22. Suit Up is meant to provide OU students and the community with affordable, gently used professional clothing with all proceeds going to United Way, said Eric Ellsworth, a member of the GBA. Clothes will be displayed 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the north end of the South Oval on the OU campus. Cost for each piece will be $2 to $15, Ellsworth said. The GBA has about 150 items for the sale right now, but needs more, he said. Members are seeking donations of slacks, dress shirts, blouses, skirts, shoes, belts, ties, coats and suits. Clothing items should be clean, pressed and on hangers. Donations may be dropped off in the Graduate Programs Office in Price Hall 1040, or through home pick up, through Wednesday.
