T-ball game yields lawsuit between parent, coach

PURCELL -- A former Dibble T-ball coach has filed a lawsuit against a Lindsay man after an argument turned violent.

According to a petition filed by attorney Stephen Solomon Monday, Coach Chance Lee Kendall, of Dibble, got into an argument with the Lindsay coach, prompting Evan Reed Flood, father of the Lindsay coach, to storm the field and attack Kendall by pushing him from the back.

"(Flood) took it upon himself to leave the stands and come onto the playing field to physically attack plaintiff," reads the petition.

"This attack took place in front of those in attendance, the young T-ball players on the field, the plaintiff's wife and plaintiff's young son."

Kendall has requested damages in excess of $10,000 for his mental and physical pain and suffering, Solomon wrote in the petition.
