Charges filed in alleged auto burglaries

Transcript Staff

Among the felony charges filed Friday in Cleveland County District Court, were 10 counts of second-degree burglary (automobile) against a Norman man.

Erik Raymond Henry, 27, allegedly admitted to Norman detectives having committed "in excess of 100 auto burglaries in the last six months in Norman, Moore and Edmond," according to court documents.

Master Police Officer Michael Lowe said he was contacted Feb. 8 by Norman Detective Jeff Puckett concerning Henry and another man selling stolen property, including computers, checkbooks, a Glock 9 millimeter pistol; bulletproof vests and other items. Lowe Feb. 27 assisted Puckett in making an undercover purchase of stolen merchandise.

The two suspects were taken to the police station for an interview, where Henry reportedly told police about the auto burglaries. Detectives drove Henry through neighborhoods where Henry pointed out the burglaries the two men had committed, either by entering unlocked cars or by breaking the car windows.

The burglaries included two in the 3700 block of Barwick Drive Nov. 28; one in the 1900 block of Banbury Court Sept. 12; three in the 3800, 4100 and 4200 blocks of Harrogate Drive Nov. 21; one in the 3400 block of Remington Street Dec. 12; one in the 3900 block of Mayfair Drive Jan. 17; and one in the 3000 block of Summit Crossing Feb. 23.

The other suspect, Marcus Atreyu Gardner, 21, Norman, was charged March 4 with three counts of knowingly concealing stolen property in connection with merchandise allegedly stolen in the burglaries.

Other felonies filed Friday include:

Herbert Willis Smith, 35, Oklahoma City, domestic abuse; first-degree burglary; assault and battery;

David Johnathan Humphrey, 24, Moore, assault with a dangerous weapon; possession of a sawed-off shotgun;

Albert Martinez, 35, Moore, assault with a dangerous weapon;

Craig Allen Robertson, 19, Norman, grand larceny;

Kathye Bexley Murry, 44, Oklahoma City, harboring a fugitive;

Joshua Nicholas Stoker, 22, Oklahoma City, two counts of larceny from a house.
