Accident victim identified Transcript Staff The Norman Transcript The identity of a woman killed in a traffic accident Saturday afternoon in Norman has been released.
Dovle Christine Rose, 52, of Bethany, died from injuries sustained in the accident at Berry Road and Lindsey Street, Norman Police announced Sunday evening. A preliminary investigation of the accident revealed a Ford F-150 pickup was traveling southbound on Berry Road when the vehicle failed to stop for a red signal light. The pickup traveled into the intersection and struck a Chevrolet Malibu that was heading eastbound on Lindsey Street. Rose was one of two occupants of the Malibu and was pronounced dead at the scene, a Norman Police Department news release stated. The other passenger was transported by EMS/STAT to Norman Regional Hospital for treatment, as was the driver of the pickup. The accident continues to be under the investigation of Master Officers Darren Strauss and Brent Barbour.
