Noble Farmers Market Saturday
The Noble Farmers Market will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through Oct. 2 at the City Hall, 304 S. Main St. in downtown Noble.
The Farmers Market will hold events every couple of weeks to provide entertainment and learning opportunities. The next event will be June 7 in conjunction with the Noble Rodeo.
The market is looking for vendors with quality produce and crafts. For more information, call Robin Stead at 872-0100.
Norman man indicted for child pornography
Charles Raymond Kelley, a 61-year-old Norman man, was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday on six counts of possessing material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
According to the indictment, Kelley, in October 2006, knowingly possessed images of child pornography, stored on a computer hard drive, that depicted the "lascivious display of the genitalia" of an approximately 10- to 12-year-old girl, a 10-year-old girl, two images of 7- to 8-year-old girls, a 5-year-old girl and a 10-to-12-year-old girl.
Each count carries a possible sentence of 10 years imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine, with no less than five years supervised release.
John C. Richter, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, announced the federal grand jury indictments Wednesday. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Randy Sengel.
Flood Avenue to close Tuesday
Flood Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Daws Street and Dakota Street starting Tuesday, for phase two of the bond/capital reconstruction project. The City and the contractor will work with residents in the construction area to provide access. The recommended detour route will be Acres Street, Berry Road and Main Street. Construction will be completed by Aug. 1.
