Full Circle plans food drive

— Full Circle Senior Adult Day Center will hold a food drive this week as part of a national celebration commemorating America's seniors. Any member of the community can drop off a can of food to Full Circle Tuesday through Friday.
"Times are tight, but we can all do a little something to help our neighbors," said 81-year-old Full Circle participant Marvin Lyles.
Full Circle is holding the food drive this week as part of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging Homecoming Week celebration. Across the country, AAHSA not-for-profit members are opening their doors and hosting events to celebrate and honor the seniors they serve.
Other events during the week will include an outing to honor Full Circle's 14 veterans, a lecture on the history of Norman by Cleveland County Historical Society, and a presentation by Mayor Cindy Rosenthal honoring our oldest participants. The community is invited on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1p.m. to an Open House Barbecue at Full Circle with guest Gathan Graham.
"However we celebrate, Homecoming Week comes down to one thing: celebrating our commitment to quality service and changing lives," Tammy Vaughn, Full Circle's executive director, said.
"We encourage community members to stop by and discover what we are doing to make Norman a better place to live for people young and old."
