Worster to be honored for historic preservation

Jerry Worster of Norman will receive the 2009 State Historic Preservation Officer's Citation of Merit today as part of the statewide preservation conference, Reaching the Summit: Oklahoma's 21st Annual Statewide Preservation Conference.
Worster is receiving the recognition for his "exemplary rehabilitation" of Oklahoma City's Brentwood Terrace Apartments.
According to Melvena Heisch, deputy state historic preservation officer, the Citation of Merit is awarded annually to individuals, organizations, agencies or firms that have made important contributions in the preservation of Oklahoma's rich heritage.
The awards presentation and ceremony will be held at Quartz Mountain Resort Arts and Conference Center at Lone Wolf.
