NEW: East Norman OG--E customers powerless for part of afternoon

— About 177 OG--E customers in Norman located near Alameda Street were without electricity for a brief time Monday afternoon.
OG--E spokesperson Karen Kurtz said a faulted part in an underground power line was to blame for the outage. OG--E employees were on the scene at 3 p.m. Monday digging up the line, to repair the faulted part.
By 6 p.m., OG--E's Web site showed fewer than 50 outages in Norman.
