The display will be 9:30 p.m. at Reaves Park, where Norman Day 2009 was celebrated Saturday. The decision to postpone the fireworks was made about 8:30 p.m. after Norman Parks and Recreation personnel had waited for the storm to relent. "We had to have a certain amount of time for it to dry out," said Jeff Hill, recreation supervisor. "They wanted it to stop raining for an hour." But by 8:30, it was apparent the rain wasn't going to stop. Hill said the decision was made so that more people would be able to see the display tonight. Saturday evening there were still some people at Reaves Park hoping to see a show when the final word was given. Hill said he did not know of a time when Norman's fireworks display had been postponed.
