Guest speaker Tiffany Couch, associate director of prevention and development at Norman Addiction Information -- Counseling (NAIC), will discuss alcohol and drug use assessment and evaluation procedures at this week's meeting of Parents Helping Parents.

The Norman Chapter of Parents Helping Parents will meet 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Education Center at Norman Regional Hospital, 901 N. Porter Ave.

Couch previously served as director of youth and family services at NAIC. She has nine years' experience in prevention working for Norman Public Schools as a Student Assistance Program counselor. She also worked for 10 years with adolescents, children and families in mental health treatment.

Couch is a licensed marital and family therapist and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. She is an approved CADC and LADC supervisor and is an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Parents Helping Parents is a network of parents and others concerned about alcohol/substance abuse among young people.
