Oklahomans for Health Care Reform will host a town hall meeting in Noble Thursday, officials with the organization announced last week.

The event will be 6 to 8 p.m. at the Truth Church, 4800 E. Etowah Road in Noble.

Oklahomans for Health Care Reform was formed to provide citizens a voice in health care issues that affect their everyday lives.

"Our mission is to advocate for change in our health care system, promote existing and developing local and state programs that offer education, assistance, or services for making Oklahoma a healthier state," said Wayne Rohde, an organizer for the event.

Oklahomans for Health Care Reform is a non-partisan organization that seeks solutions to existing health care problems to provide a voice on behalf of citizens to local and state officials and legislators regarding health care issues in Oklahoma.

The meeting in Noble is the first of a series of meetings planned across Oklahoma this year. Dr. Rene McNall, Pediatric Oncologist from OUHSC, will moderate this event.

"We are encouraging medical practitioners, local business leaders, local town officials, State Agency and Department officials, along with our elected legislators to attend the series of meetings to listen to issues from our citizens and to provide necessary information and discussion," Rohde said.
