— A local attorney is slated as guest speaker at the next meeting of Parents Helping Parents.
The Norman Chapter of Parents Helping Parents meets 7 p.m. Thursday at the Education Center at Norman Regional Hospital, 901 N. Porter Ave.
Local attorney Rebecca J. Patten will discuss estate planning issues for those with chemically dependent children, organizers said.
Parents Helping Parents is a network of parents and people concerned about alcohol/substance abuse among young people (both adolescents and adult children). The group offers hope through shared experience, resources and education. They promote prevention and intervention, collaborative efforts, increased access to information/services and support.
