Four Norman residents are part of Leadership Oklahoma's 22nd annual class announced this week.
Norman residents selected are Suzanne Atwood, Adam Cohen, Mary John O'Hair and Karen Rieger.
"Leadership Oklahoma is very excited about the 52 people chosen for this year's program," said Mary Melon, Chair of the Board of Directors. "Class XXII is an outstanding blend of leaders from a variety of fields who will contribute a wealth of knowledge to our discussions on important Oklahoma issues."
A class is selected each year from a wide geographic base representing diverse backgrounds. Members meet monthly for nine sessions in different communities throughout Oklahoma and are exposed to the many social, environmental and economic complexities of the state in order to stimulate inquiry, analysis and solutions for the public good.
Leadership Oklahoma is a statewide organization founded in 1986 to create a network of leaders whose increased awareness and commitment to service will energize Oklahomans to shape the state's future. More than 1,070 members have graduated from the leadership program.
